Maahanmuuttopalvelut Hollolassa

Kotoutumislaki ohjaa vahvasti kunnan kotouttamistyötä (KotoL). Hollolassa kotoutumista edistetään kunnan, Päijät-Soten sekä muiden tahojen kanssa tehdyn yhteistyön avulla. Tavoitteena on kehittää paikallistason kotoutumista edistävää työtä mm. kunnan eri toimialojen sekä kolmannen sektorin toimijaverkon kanssa. Kotouttamistyön tavoitteena on lisätä maahanmuuttajien osallisuutta ja toimijuutta Hollolassa.

Maahanmuuttokoordinaattori tarjoaa konsultaatiota maahanmuuttoon liittyvissä asioissa eri tahoille. Palvelut on tarkoitettu alueen maahanmuuttajille sekä heidän kanssaan toimiville henkilöille, riippumatta Suomeen muuton syistä tai asumisajasta. Usein kotoutumista edistävien palveluiden tarve on suurin heti Suomeen muutettaessa.

Esimerkiksi oleskeluluvan saaneen pakolaistaustaisen maahanmuuttajan kotoutuminen uuteen kotikuntaan alkaa tavallisesti asunnon järjestämisellä uudesta kotikunnasta, ilmoittautumalla maistraattiin, Kelaan ja TE-palveluihin. Yhdessä viranomaisten kanssa tehdään suunnitelma tarvittavista muista palveluista koko perheelle. Opastuksen tarvetta voi ilmetä kuitenkin myöhemmässäkin vaiheessa. Hollolassa näistä vastaa yhdessä maahanmuuttokoordinaattorin kanssa yhteisöohjaaja.

Immigration Services in Hollola

The Integration Act (KotoL) strongly guides the municipality’s integration work. In Hollola, integration is promoted through collaboration between the municipality, Päijät-Sote (a regional social and healthcare service provider), and other stakeholders. The goal is to develop local-level work that promotes integration in cooperation with various sectors of the municipality and the third sector network. The aim of integration work is to increase the participation and inclusion in Hollola.

The Immigration Coordinator provides consultation on immigration-related matters to various parties. The services are intended for immigrants in the area and individuals working with them, regardless of the reasons or duration of their residence in Finland. The need for integration services is often greatest immediately after moving to Finland. For example, the integration of a refugee with a residence permit into a new municipality typically begins with arranging accommodation, registering with the Local Register Office (DVV), the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela), and the Employment and Economic Development Office (TE-services). Together with the authorities, a plan is made for the necessary additional services for the entire family. However, there may also be a need for guidance at a later stage. In Hollola, the community facilitator, together with the Immigration Coordinator, is responsible for these tasks.
