Last updated: 15.07.2024Times change, come with it
At Hahmajärvi in Herrala, you can enjoy unique rocky landscapes in the middle of nature. The route goes through a fairy-tale beautiful forest and climbs up a steep cliff. Along the way, you can stop and go back in time to ancient settlements. Up on the rock, time stops again when it's time to quiet down and admire the beautiful lake scenery of Päijät-Häme. While looking at the scenery, you can rest for a snack break. The journey continues into a forest with varied terrain.
The nature trail is a couple of kilometers long, so it is also suitable for camping with children. The terrain is quite rocky, and there is some ascent. The route is guided by signposts marked with the regional flower of Päijät-Häme. You can also swim on the hike, as the trail starts and ends at Herrala's swimming beach.
