Culture
Cultural work can be seen in the functions of leisure services, such as events, exhibition activities and cultural youth work.
Culture in Hollola On the Instagram account, you can find current news about culture. Long live local culture!
Three people work at Hollola's cultural services: a cultural producer, a community instructor and a hobby instructor. The cultural producer works as part of the Päijät-Häme children's cultural center Efekt steering group and the culture network of the Päijät-Häme association.
The events are a common arena for local creators and we involve local cultural creators, associations and companies in them. We work in close cooperation in all cultural functions with the third and fourth sectors and other units of the municipality.
Cultural youth work actively participates in e.g. To the Erasmus+ exchange program, where young people can get to know foreign cultures and participation activities. We also organize exhibitions together with local operators. The biggest effort in exhibition activities was the Pop-up Kulttuuritalo Vanha Apteekki, which served the citizens of the municipality with its 2021-2022 art and museum collection exhibitions.
Museums
There are three local home region museums in Hollola. The Hämeenkoski Homeland Museum is a cozy museum managed by the municipality of Hollola in Hämeenkoski, whose activities are developed in cooperation with the Koski Society. Heikan Jussi's Homeland Museum is located in Herrala and is maintained by the local association. You can find the wonderful home region museum run by the Hollola home region association in the Hollola church village.
Art collection
The art collection of Hollola municipality is divided into the art collection of Hollola municipality, the donations of the Ruokolainen artist couple, and the old art collection of the keeper of Hämeenkoski. The gems of the art collection are the works of local artists such as Jorma Kardén and the artworks of Mauno Hartmann. Works belonging to the art collection familiar to Dutch people include Timo Jakola's pastel paintings. The municipality's collection also includes several other works by matriculation artists. The collection is housed in the municipality's offices and art storage.
Cultural education
In Hollola, the cultural education plan for basic education has been introduced in 2021. Within the framework of the cultural education plan, we organize cultural activities based on locality for all Hollola schoolchildren. The cultural education plan is coordinated by cultural services in cooperation with schools. Year class visits are confirmed with basic education every year.
