In Hollola, Finland's highest quality saunas and stoves are made.
The company manufacturing saunas and benches was founded in 2001, when two young men started operations in Joensuu and Lahti. At first, we made customized sauna sets and benches in customers' homes, until the benches were made in the garage. We did a lot of sauna and bathroom renovations for renovation and new projects. We also did tiling, waterproofing and home spa furniture. The economic boom forced us to move to larger premises and we bought the Vellamo bench business of the then bench manufacturer Lamellwood in 2005. Tähtisaunat Oy was founded in 2005. In the business transaction, we got larger premises and a ready market for custom-made benches. From then until 2007, growth was tremendous and we had to buy larger premises for bench manufacturing in Hollola. Now we have focused primarily on manufacturing high-quality and individual saunas and benches based on the customer's wishes, and on creating a sensual sauna atmosphere with sauna lighting. In 2010, we started manufacturing electric heaters in Hollola. The product name was Magnum heaters. The market received the heaters surprisingly well, because there was a clear niche for them. In heaters, we have invested in design and wet saunas. In 2017, we started designing a new heater called Finlandia, which is the flagship of the heaters. Currently, thousands of people are bathing in high-quality Tähtisaunas and enjoying the wonderful saunas of Magnum and Finlandia heaters around the world in their saunas. Tähtisaunas products have also received the right to use the key flag logo, because they are manufactured and designed in Finland. Our range also includes fiber lamps, LED light sets, special panels, Iki heaters, Mondex heaters, Tulikivi heaters and many other products related to saunas and washrooms. Our headquarters are located in Hollola, and we have several dealers around Finland. Our main business is saunas and sauna accessories, our company had 5 employees.

Sauna lighting always depends on the customer's preferences and visions, the size of the space and the shape/model of the bench model. One lighting solution may be excellent for one ensemble, but may be bad for another, whether it's on the ceiling or on the benches.
The heater is the heart of the sauna. When choosing a stove, you should spend some time and think carefully about what you want from a stove. Design heaters are already commonplace in saunas. Modern stoves have a lot of stones. A large amount of stones enables soft and moist baths, which brings a little wooden sauna atmosphere to the electric sauna. Today, a 6,6kW stove can hold up to 100 kg of stones! A large amount of stones slightly increases the heating time of the sauna, but "pays for itself" as a better soak. For a stove with a large amount of stones, you need to reserve more scalding water, because the heat is taken through the scalding.
All Tähtisaunas sauna boards are the work of professional carpentry. The platforms are made to measure for our customers in Hollola. For example, we have taken into account the cleaning requirements in the design of the boards. Lower shelves that cover the entire sauna are quite popular, but challenging from a cleaning point of view. We have solved the puzzle in such a way that we do not attach the surface boards to the board frames at all, but they only rest on the frames.
A wonderful and safety-enhancing detail is the sauna's glass wall, which connects the sauna and the washroom into a unified and spacious whole. The stylish sauna glass wall has a durable structure. The shiny chrome hinges of the glass wall of the sauna and the handle of the glass door are finished with high quality. High-quality processed aluminum strips make it easier to install the glass wall and guarantee a wonderfully finished result.
