There is still domestic Finnish furniture production..

Soffani has already made sofa furniture and upholstery by hand at Hollola Nostava almost 50 years. The company was founded in 1972 by my father Timo Laitinen together with my mother Ulla. The company, which once started on the ground floor of a detached house, employed around 40 employees at its peak. Over the years, it has sold to chains such as Masku and exported sofas to Sweden, Japan and America. Today, the work is done by a small team and the parents are still actively involved in the operation. Today, almost all the furniture sold is custom-made sofas from our own Soffani® collection for homes, companies and institutions. Quality sells these days and materials, such as upholstery and fabrics, are carefully selected to also protect the environment. We do everything here by hand, starting with the frame of the furniture. We use domestic upholstery that is safe and does not contain harmful ingredients. There are thousands of options for furniture fabrics, something for everyone. We also have environmentally friendly upholstery fabrics made from recycled fibers, which are manufactured using environmentally friendly methods. In addition to new sofa furniture, you can have your old furniture, such as TV chairs, heritage chairs, sofa furniture, vintage furniture, camper mattresses, motorcycle seats, etc. Reupholstering old furniture is an ecological choice, you save nature and your furniture will last for years to come. We have upholstery fabrics and, if necessary, we will renew the upholstery. We make frame and sofa beds, mattresses, ottomans and upholstery, e.g. seat and platform cushions, to order. We sew the covers according to your wishes.
