The company story of Seppo Juhani Oy
Seppo-Juhani Savolainen, who moved from Siilinjärvi to Lahti and from there to Hollola in 1963, began his working life at a young age in his brother's car company: Savolainen's Cars, as a repairman and car painter.
As soon as he got older and got a "truck card" in his pocket, the road drew the man to truck work. There, I learned the ways of Finland and the pros and cons of a heavy profession. During that vacation of thousands of kilometers, SJ also had time to start a family with Arja in 1969. In the field of sports, Seppo-Juhani's name has appeared several times in the world-famous Guinness Book of Records in the skiing and cycling 24h series.
SJ accidentally got into the music business when a car deal included vocal amplifiers. A newspaper ad and a band put together. A month of training and then THE GIG! The family earned their living working as a restaurant musician. After years of touring restaurants, SJ came to the conclusion that gigging was too formulaic. I want to start my own cozy and free-form restaurant without unnecessary “ties”: said Seppo-Juhani one day. That was the beginning of Seppo-Juhani and his wife Arja’s hotel business. First, in the early 90s, they rented Saariselkä Laaninhovi and Savitaipale Lomakartano Olkkola. In 1996, Seppo-Juhani Oy got the opportunity to buy Hotel Nipastahko in Tahkovuori.
In the 90s, large groups traveled to vacation destinations and the search and export of customers always required an external travel agency to serve the travel, so Seppo-Juhani took a business operator course and got himself his own buses. This is how Travel Agency SjoyTravel was born. In the family business, Arja takes care of the travel agency's office affairs and on trips as a tour leader, photographer and guide, and Seppo-Juhani handles other matters necessary for running the operation.
Tourism gradually expanded to different spas in Estonia. Spa packages have been our main article for 20 years. Order runs: Finland, Europe, Baltics. Trips: Lapland, Day Trips and Charter Tours up to Barcelona, themed trips, and etc. For the past 7 years we have been doing guided group trips to the Spanish Sun Coast. Now, after the corona years, the activity is finally starting to pick up. We will continue to organize trips as long as our customers use our services and get on board.

Our goal is for as many older people as possible to dare to go on a holiday with our people. Customers and their smiling faces are our resources, which is where we get the energy for our daily endeavors.
Seppo Juhani Oy also has its own program service. Seppo Juhani can be booked to play at various parties, either solo (harmonica-keyboards, vocals) or in an ensemble according to your wishes, or even to host a Karaoke evening. Wedding, birthday, funeral and dance music can also be found on the music list.
