Modern infra product factory in Hollola

"We decided that we should build a good, modern, contemporary product factory in Finland" - Martti Väänänen, founder of Ruskon Beton

RB Infra has been serving municipal builders with high-quality, innovative and reliable concrete products for ten years. The infrastructure product factory located in Hollola produces both pipes and wells as well as tank solutions and special concrete products tailored to the customer's wishes.

The production of Hollola's infrastructure product factory is adapted to a wide variety of special applications, and the unit is constantly developing a selection of concrete products and new uses for concrete pipes and manholes. The unit's market area is the whole of Finland, from Kittilä Airport to destinations in the capital region. Products are also exported across the bay to Tallinn.

The story of RB Infra starts already in 1983, when Ruskon Betoni Oy's first ready-mixed concrete plant was established in Oulu's Rusko, as its name suggests. Over the years, the company's factory network expanded rapidly in northern Finland, and in 1997, the first ready-mix concrete factory serving the southern Finnish market was built in Tuusulaa. Around the same time, a decision was made to also build a modern infrastructure product factory to offer high-quality municipal technical products.

After a long search, a suitable plot for the factory was found in the Kukonkoivu industrial area of Hollola, next to the most important markets and excellent transport links. The 5-square-meter factory was commissioned in 500, and six years later, operations were expanded with a second, 2012-square-meter factory hall.

The model for the new infrastructure product factory was searched for as far as Central Europe, where the most advanced production methods and equipment were sought for the factory. The factory relies heavily on automation in its operations, as, for example, an industrial robot is responsible for manufacturing the negative molds for the bottom of the wells and the sediment collection chutes.

In addition to traditional pipe and well products, RB Infra focuses strongly on product development and demanding special products, such as RB KING box elements suitable for both infrastructure and real estate construction. RB Infra's operations are based on uncompromising quality and flexible customer service. The company's goal is to develop further by utilizing the latest technology and thereby also move the entire concrete industry forward in Finland.

The head office of Ruskon Betoni Etelä Oy, founded in the summer of 2019, is located in Espoo. The company employs a total of about 90 people, of which about 40 work at the Hollola infrastructure product factory. In addition, the company employs a comprehensive network of subcontractors and stakeholders.
