Construction concrete's roots are deep in the soil of Hollola

Rakennusbetoni- ja Elementti Oy, which began operations in 1966, was originally established to serve the ready-mixed concrete needs of a local construction company. In just six decades, the company's business, based in Kukonkoivu, Hollola, has expanded nationwide and has grown into a private group formed by three companies, Rakennusbetoni- ja Elementti Oy, Hollola Sora Oy and RB Laatuseinä Oy, which manufactures high-quality special concrete products and serves builders throughout Finland and the Nordic countries.

The company has 130 employees, in addition to whom the company employs partners, mainly in product design, transportation and installation tasks.

Rakennusbetoni- ja Elementti Oy is Finland's leading manufacturer of civil protection elements. Evacuation shelters and modular bathrooms are manufactured under the EVA brand. The AKO product group includes AKOwall partition walls, AKOhouses block products, AKObase charging infrastructure products, AKOgarden garden products and AKOroof green roofs.

– “We serve construction companies and private builders in Päijät-Häme and all over Finland. Kukonkoivu has good road connections to both southern and northern Finland, and it is also convenient to commute here. We have many employees from, for example, Nastola, and they say the new ring road will shorten their commute by ten minutes in each direction.”

Kukonkoivu has smooth connections to all parts of Finland.

At the crossroads of roads, Kukonkoivu's location is top-notch, especially from a logistical perspective. The business area is only a few minutes' drive from the services of the Hollola municipal center and the new VT4 southern ring road junction. Lahti is also only about ten kilometers away. The Helsinki Metropolitan Area and Pirkanmaa can be reached from Kukonkoivu in just over an hour, and Riihimäki and Hämeenlinna in less than an hour. There are also good connections to Eastern and Western Finland.
