The first bakery products and the period of growth


Uuno Virtanen started bakery operations in Lahti, on the ground floor of Harjunaronkatu 15, in 1957 after being removed from the duties of CEO of Leipätuote Oy. The first products were completed in December of the same year. Boys Jussi and My brother was also involved in starting the activity.

The bakery is registered in the trade register under the name Pulla-Pojat Oy. 21.11.1958. Spaces quickly become cramped and 1960's in the middle of the year, the construction work of a new bakery will start in the Salpakakka industrial area in Hollola. In 1965, a new bakery and cafe are commissioned and the bakery's operations move to Hollola.


Generational changes


When Uuno Virtanen retired in 1978, his sons Jussi and Veli and their families took over the company. In the year In 1989, the bakery operations were transferred to the Veli Virtanen family. In the 2000s, his sons Vesa and Kari Virtanen took over the management, and 10.12.2015 The driving responsibility was transferred entirely to Kari Virtanen.

Today, the bakery operates in Hollola and manufactures loaves of bread, cafe breads and pastry products as well. There is also a lunch cafe and a shop in connection with the bakery. The online store also serves lovers of high-quality bakery products.
