The company story of Inni Oy

It was 1986, the mercury had already dropped to -35 degrees for a few months, when Timo Turva and Pekka Savio opened the doors of Inni Oy for the first time in December at Keskuskatu 9 in Hollola.

The harsh winter season was not the easiest possible time to open a paint store, but despite the fact that there were quiet days at the beginning, on one day there were only 36,60 marks in sales, Timo and Pekka decided to persistently continue the interior design and paint shop in the center of Hollola. This tenacity was already rewarded the following year, when the store started to take off little by little and the real peak years in terms of sales came in -88 and -89. At the same time, Inni Oy established its place as the Hollola people's own village store, a saying that is still used today. It was also time to expand the team and Timon Pirjo's wife joined in 88.

In the beginning, Inn's wholesaler was Tuko Oy, and only later in 1993 did it become part of the Värisilmä chain as a private merchant store.

The recession of the 90s brought its own challenges to business, and changes to Inni Oy's team as well, when Pekka went to Helsinki to work as an engineer. Contrary to what you might have thought about Finland in the midst of a recession, Timo decided to buy a bigger business premises, with a large warehouse in Hollola's soramäki, and so in 1991 Inni Oy moved to its current premises at Soramäentie 31. It was years that Timo ran alone shop, without forgetting the help of the family and the people of Hollola, and with the help of a few seasonal workers, we survived into the 2000st century.

The paint trade began to flourish again, so much so that in the summer we even had to store paint at home in the garage, because the sales were so high that the storage facilities were no longer sufficient to meet the volume of sales.

Over the years, Inni, which has become known as Hollola's own village store, has organized events of some kind. Inni games sports event, car gatherings in the store yard, summer days for the villagers and has also used it all the way to Padasjoki selling paint from the back of a car. Everything has happened over the years, but it has always been blown into one coal!

In 2005, Timo hired Mika Kivisen, a future trader of Inni Oy, as his partner, and from there we started to develop the store and move from a paint store to a comprehensive interior decoration and renovation store. And we were one of the first Värisilmä stores in Finland to install a new concept wallpaper department, the largest wallpaper selection in Päijät-Häme.

In 2011, Kivinen took on the role of Inni Oy's trader, and at the same time, Marko Kallioinen, who already has solid experience in the field, was hired to the team. The store continued to grow and expand, while Timo began to dream of retirement and gradually left Inn's staff to enjoy his well-deserved free time.

As sales grew and operations expanded, there were years when Mika and Make were alone in the midst of all the hustle and bustle and renovation of the store, but they kept pushing towards new winds and bigger plans.mia. Since Inni Oy's focus was clearly on contractors, it was time to make changes in order to make the consumer side an equally strong part of Inni's history. It was decided to bet for kitchen design, wallpaper department and home decoration because the trend was clearly rising in home renovation and in 2020, Anne Hännikäinen was hired to the team, to bring a feminine perspective to Inn's everyday life.

You can find this team at Värisilmä Hollola at the paint, wallpaper, tile, floor and 3D design services right now, and with this lineup we continue to develop and expand and push towards new challenges. So welcome to our journey, whether it's surface renovations, house painting, kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation or anything related to home renovation, from us you can get the products and help for all of these, we are here for our customers!
