The company story of Hollola Rakennusbeton
Construction concrete's roots are deep in the soil of Hollola
"There are smooth connections from Kukonkoivu to all over Finland"
Hollola Rakennusbetoni, which started its operations in 1966, was originally founded to serve the ready-mixed concrete needs of a local construction company. Over the course of five decades, the business of the company operating in Hollola's Kukonkoivu has expanded nationwide and has grown into a private group formed by three companies: Rakennusbetoni- ja Elementti Oy, Hollolan Sora Oy and Mikrobetoni Oy, which manufactures high-quality special concrete products and serves builders throughout Finland and the Nordic countries.
The company has 100 employees and, through its cooperation companies, it employs approximately 120 people in design, transport and installation tasks.
Sami Konsti, who works as a product manager in the family company, says that in addition to ready-mixed concrete, the group's product range includes e.g. concrete civilian shelters and ready-made modular bathrooms, AKO partition walls, yard stones and green roofs.
- We serve construction companies and private builders in Päijät-Hämee and all over Finland. There are good road connections to both Southern and Northern Finland from Kukonkoivu, and it's convenient to go to work here as well. We have many employees, e.g. From Nastola and they say the new ring road will shorten the commute by ten minutes in each direction.
Kukonkoivu's location at the intersection of roads is top class, especially from a logistical point of view. From the business district, it is only a few minutes' drive to the services of the Hollola municipal center and the junction of the new VT4 southern ring road. Lahti is only ten kilometers away. You can drive from Kukonkoivu to the capital region and Pirkanmaa in just over an hour, and to Riihimäki and Hämeenlinna in less than an hour. The connections are also good to Eastern and Western Finland.
Sami Konsti says that Rakennusbeton is satisfied with Hollola municipality's business services and especially with the good cooperation.
- The future of the group looks quite bright. The sales of construction and yard products have even increased in the past six months, when people have been at home more than usual. The time is also suitable for promoting the export project, which we have done in good cooperation with LADEC's business advisors, Sami Konsti sums up.
