Hollola's summer work vouchers are intended as financial support for the summer employment of young people from Hollola.

The municipality of Hollola supports the employment of young people aged 15-17 and future 9th graders in companies and associations with the Summer Work Voucher.

The application for summer work vouchers has ended for this year 2025.

How do I use the summer work voucher?
For summer 2025, there was a distribution a total of 75 summer work vouchers.
- The value of one voucher is a maximum of €400/summer worker.
- Unlike other employers, the association in Hollola can apply for a voucher worth a maximum of €600 per summer worker.
Young person | For the summer of 2025, a young person from Hollø is eligible for a summer work voucher if they are:
- Have turned 31.5.2025 by 15 May 18, but not XNUMX or
- A young person from Hollola who is finishing basic education in Hollola and is a 9th grader (in the academic year 25–26).
Employer | Who can use the voucher?
- The employer can be a company or association (not a private household, welfare area, foundation, municipality or state).
- The employer/company can also be located in a place other than Hollola.
- A maximum of 3 summer work vouchers will be distributed per employer.
- When the summer job has been agreed with the young person, fill it out summer work voucher application together with a young person. (electronic or paper).
- After filling out the application, the young person picks up the summer work voucher in person at the Hollola municipality's business center in Piipahlus. A total of 75 banknotes are distributed and they are distributed in order of application.
- The young person submits the summer work voucher they received and the related instructions to the employer.
- Make a written employment contract with the young person.
- Once the work is complete, you can invoice the municipality for the amount of the note according to the instructions below. Remember the attachments!
Schedule
- The summer work voucher can be invoiced immediately after the end of the summer work period, or no later than October 31.10.2025, XNUMX.
Required number of hours
We recommend signing a work contract with the young person for at least two weeks, working time at least 25 hours per week. If it suits the nature of the work better, the working hours can also be agreed with smaller weekly hours for a longer period of time. (e.g. gig work). However, work must accumulate for at least 50 hours during the employment relationship.
Placement of work in the summer season
The summer work voucher is intended for work during the summer season: The working hours that qualify for the voucher must fall within the period from 1.6 June to31.8.2024.
Written employment contract
The employment contract is made in writing, because it is important for the young person to learn the well-proven rules of the game of the employment relationship, such as making contracts in writing.
The employer is responsible for the young person:
- The salary to be paid must be at least the minimum salary according to the industry's collective agreement.
- The employer is responsible for all employer contributions and statutory insurance.
- The employer must pay attention to the working time and safety regulations concerning young employees.

The summer work voucher can be invoiced no later than 31.10.2025, but we recommend sending the invoice immediately after the summer work period ends.
You can invoice a maximum of 50% of the payroll costs, but not more than the maximum amount of the voucher (€400 or €600).
Please note that when invoicing a summer work voucher, the following points must be fulfilled in order for your voucher invoice to be paid:
- Attached to the invoice are copies of the employment contract and salary statements
- In the reference information, enter "summer work voucher" as the cost location and the summer worker's full name.
- Register the invoice as VAT 0% (this is a VAT-free grant)
- 21 days payment period for the invoice
- You can deliver the attachments either with the invoice as a pdf or by e-mail to the address tyollisyspalvelut@hollola.fi.
