Hollola's ability to work coordinator

An obstacle to employment can sometimes be an unsolved health challenge that has not been treated for a long time. We want to help these people with our work.

A job seeker's ability to work can often be an obstacle to employment

In the municipal experiment of employment, work has already been done in Hollola for many years in order to find out the work and functional ability of jobseeker-clients. Job seekers also include people who have significant challenges in their ability to work that prevent employment. For doctors, the challenge in writing an adequate B-statement is often the client's incomplete information, and/or the client's challenges in expressing their own situation. Investigating the issue is often quite a jungle from the point of view of an individual job seeker with work ability challenges, where a person is easily left wandering around the wrong services to apply for jobs for which they might not even have the ability to work.

The goal is to get a realistic understanding of the client's ability to work and function. If there are real challenges, it will be documented and apply for a disability pension or otherwise guide the job seeker to the right benefits and services.

The work capacity assessment jungle is coordinated by the work capacity coordinator

A multifaceted cooperation network has been created in Hollola for jobseeker clients with work ability challenges, whose contact person is the work ability coordinator in Hollola's employment services.

The ability to work coordinator coordinates the issue of ability to work moving forward, cooperating with the unemployed health nurse, Kela's contact person, health and social services and, of course, the customer. The work ability coordinator knows the client and can also be involved, for example, with the client's permission, also at the doctor's office. The coordinator supports the doctors by documenting the client's challenges for the reception in advance, so that the most thorough documents can be created at the reception for further steps. For example, access to a disability pension requires a well-documented process in the background.

The results of the operation can be seen in the life of an individual but also in the municipality

Results have already been achieved in a year and customers' situations have been clarified and customers have also been transferred to the right benefit. The work can be seen both in the individual customer's life, in the ability to accept work, and also in the fact that we can in the future focus on providing work to job seekers who are actually able to work.
