The maintenance team has been able to work comfortably around Tiilijärvi in ​​various construction and improvement projects.

"small surface repair" of Vähä-Tiilijärvi long trees

In August-September 2023, the maintenance team was tasked with improving the condition of the long trees on the shore on the Tiilikanga side of Vähä-Tiilijärvi.

The weather favored the builders throughout the project and the team members had pleasant encounters while building.

It was decided to cover the long timbers with boards, to make the passage easier.

Revitalization of Vähä-Tiilijärvi's environment

In May 3, the 4rd and 2023th graders of the Salpakkanka school were able to do construction work as part of Järvie sävelet - an event, when they built different insect hotels with the help of Kunnontiim. Hotels and wooden pucks made by groups of adults and children from the Wellamo school now mainly decorate the northern edge of Vähä-Tiilijärvi.

A total of almost 80 pieces of wooden pucks and insect hotels have been hidden along the forest path between Vähä- and Keskitiilijärvi, and along the nature trail along the northern edge of Vähä-Tiilijärvi up to the pine trees. The maintenance team took care of the wood materials for the project, and hung the decorations in the area.

Vähä-Tiilijärvi also has bench-table groups built by Kunnontiim. During the fall, groups of benches are also coming to the shore of Keskitiilijärvi, as well as pucks around the Järvie circuit route. Now you can already see in the forest, e.g. the frog prince and the cactus.

Maintenance work on swimming beaches

The entire municipality has worked hard on beach destinations:
A new viewing platform has been built on Pikkutilki and the Hollola 4H Association's summer cafe was given a facelift.
The maintenance team is also responsible for maintenance of Pikkutilki's lawn.

The fitness team is by no means silent for the winter season, but then the team members work more indoors, although the team members can certainly be seen on the streets of the village as usual.
Forest clearing work and thinning of small stands are one of the team's outdoor jobs, which are left on a break only during the birds' nesting season.

During the winter, swimming booths and new market furniture are built at the municipal depot.
Various types of woodwork also focus a lot on winter time.
The cleaning team cleans every day, and in the winter, what the team members call the garbage round, goes around the municipality a couple of times a week.

This is how the fitness team worked on the swimming booths at the beginning of the year. With a good mind and a smile on your face, we build with the coming summer in mind.
This is the third year in a row that the team got the construction of swimming booths as their project.
02/2024

A new shed was built in Pyhäniemi in September 2023, built by Kunnontiim.

With the council initiative approved by the municipal government in 2022, Kunnontiim got the opportunity to design and build a shelter in Pyhäniemi from the very beginning.

During the spring, the Kunnontiimi of the municipality's employment services built a colorful seating area at the Hollola market out of pallets and paint received as a donation. During the summer season, colorful seating groups in the lounge area built with a recycling theme can be found at the market.

Materials donated by local companies made the construction possible, and seating groups have been made in sizes suitable for adults as well as smaller ones.

In the area, there is a cafe run by the young summer entrepreneurs of the Hollola 4H association, a different program organized by the cultural side and an activity area maintained by the municipality's summer workers. In addition to the café, the benches and furniture are freely available to everyone throughout the summer (June 30.6.2023, XNUMX).

In December 2022, open doors with the theme of "the beginning of Christmas" were held in the premises of the maintenance team at the municipality's technical depot. A municipal employee and various cooperation parties visited the team's activities and premises. The team's break rooms have been renovated over the course of the fall, and team members, e.g. installed for themselves in October the so-called from the kitchen furniture released from the old facilities of the recycling kitchen's cultural house. Recycled furniture has also been used in the premises, e.g. from furniture freed from schools.
The Viirikuko yard of the municipal office has also received a Christmas decoration from the Christmas tree supplied by Kunnontiim.

 

At the beginning of July, Hollola's Employment Services moved entirely to the offices located in the municipal center at Tiilijärventie 5D.

Kunnontiimi, which is part of employment services, was responsible for renewing and renovating four triangles that had been used as residences to make them suitable for office use. Under the leadership of work coaches Timo and Taija, the premises underwent a complete Surface Renovation (although a few walls also changed places during the renovation). External help was used for the electrical work, but otherwise the team members repaired everything on their own under the guidance of the coaches. The maintenance team consists of long-term renovation experts as well as team members who study the work from the beginning.

The move and renovation were done, because with the Lahti region's municipal experiment, the need for offices has also increased in Hollola's Employment Services: the team size is already close to 15 people. In addition to the customer reception rooms, a larger conference room was built in one of the rooms.

Not everyone can do this: The fitness team works throughout the summer season. In the week after Midsummer, Kunnon team members were working on removing giant pipes in Hammonjoki. The removal of the giant pipe requires full protective equipment, so I was more precise in the work. Of course, taking a break from work and taking the heat into account, but yes, this requires attitude!

 

All around Hollola's natural attractions, you can find boards telling about the work of the Kunnontiim. In the spring of 2022, the first boards were attached to the Pirunpesä campfire site and Martan Maja. Among other things, the Maintenance Team is responsible for the maintenance of the objects in question.

The maintenance team built the first swimming booths for the summer of 2022. The swimming booths in question went to the beaches of Iso-Tilki, Kotomäki and Kirko.
