Summer entrepreneurship advice and support is aimed at young people aged 13-28 in Hollola who want to try entrepreneurship during the summer.

We offer advice and support for starting a business and starting operations. The goal is to raise awareness among young people about the possibilities of entrepreneurship and support them in developing their business ideas into practice. In addition to the support, those who participate in entrepreneurship services have the opportunity to receive a summer entrepreneurship voucher, which supports young people's entrepreneurship and its start-up costs. 

You don't have to be a ready-made entrepreneur to join us!

We all have entrepreneurial potential, now you can try and get to know entrepreneurship safely!

• Participation does not require you to start a business.
• We offer basic skills for entrepreneurship, and the first course will be held in May for those interested in entrepreneurship.
• You don't have to have your own ready-made business idea. You don't have to have a business idea ready and you don't have to know everything right away – let's think together!
• Advice and support are available throughout the summer.

By starting a business, you learn new skills, self-confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills and social skills. At the same time, you gain knowledge about topics related to entrepreneurship (for example, taxation, pricing, materials and different industries). A person's self-confidence often increases when they are allowed to do things themselves.

The service is free and voluntary for all residents of Hollola between the ages of 13 and 28.

Financial support for summer entrepreneurship expenses and internships

It is possible to apply for various financial supports for summer entrepreneurship from both the Päijänne-Leader Association and the municipality.

It is possible to apply from Päijänne-Leader ry Youth Leader funding for young people's own projectsIt can be used, for example, for the costs of procurement in the initial phase of entrepreneurship (up to €500).

The summer entrepreneurship voucher offered by the municipality is intended for a new business idea by a young person aged 13–28 from Hollola. 1.5.2025-1.8.2025, a company founded between can apply for a €400 subsidy from the municipality. The subsidy will be paid in full if the young person is able to generate €400 in turnover between 1.5.2025 and 31.8.2025. The subsidy can also be paid in part based on turnover, i.e. if the turnover of the business is, for example, €200, he or she can receive a summer entrepreneur voucher worth €200.

Both subsidies can be received for investment costs: Part of the summer entrepreneurship voucher support granted by the municipality can also be used at discretion for costs incurred in starting up a business before turnover has been generated. The advance payment is approved by the summer entrepreneurship coordinator and can be received up to a maximum of €150 from the summer entrepreneurship voucher.

The goal is to build future vitality in the municipality and provide opportunities for young people to do things.

You can only learn to be an entrepreneur by trying.

The aim of the summer entrepreneurship service is to create a model that will produce new entrepreneurs in the region in the future and increase the vitality of the area. At the same time, it will provide a platform for local young people to learn new skills, get acquainted with a growing model of work in the future, and try entrepreneurship in a safe environment with support.

Due to the challenging labor market situation, there are fewer and fewer summer job opportunities available to young people and competition for places is fiercer. For this reason, the municipality of Hollola wants to encourage young people to explore entrepreneurship as an alternative to ready-made summer jobs. The summer entrepreneurship service aims to ensure that the experiment with entrepreneurship does not go undone, at least not due to a lack of support or initial investment.

The Summer Entrepreneurship Workshop offers you the opportunity to learn the basics of entrepreneurship and develop your business idea. Advice and support begin at the workshop, where you will receive concrete help in planning and launching your business. Registration is now open!

Summer entrepreneurship workshops will be held throughout the spring and you can register for a workshop that suits you or request a separate time via the form. We will update the workshop dates in the attached registration form.
