The summer work voucher makes it easier to find summer jobs and provides financial support for employers to hire young people for summer work

Hollola summer job vouchers are intended to provide financial support for summer employment for young people from Hollola.

Hollola employment and integration services

The municipality of Hollola supports the employment of young people aged 15-17 and future 9th graders from Hollola in companies and associations for the summer season by granting 75 summer work vouchers for the young people's salary costs. The summer worker and the employer apply for the voucher together from the municipality after signing an employment contract.

Summer work vouchers for the summer season 2026

The application for summer work vouchers has started. and they are available for collection throughout the spring season. If there are enough tickets, they will be available for collection throughout the spring on Tuesdays. 9.6.2026 until 2:00 p.m. Vouchers are issued in the order of application.

How does the summer work voucher in Hollola work and how do I use it?

  • The value of one voucher is a maximum of €400/summer worker.
    • The exceptions are: Dutch associationswho can apply for a voucher worth up to €600/summer worker.
  • The voucher can cover a maximum of 50% of a summer worker's salary costs.
A total of 75 summer work vouchers are being distributed for the summer of 2026.
Young person | In the summer of 2026, a young person from Hollø is eligible for a summer work voucher if they are:
  • Have reached the age of 15 but not the age of 18 by 31 May 2026 or A young person from Hollola who is finishing basic education/will be a 9th grader (in the academic year 26–27).
Employer | Who can use the voucher?
  • The employer can be a company or an association. (not a private household, welfare area, foundation, municipality or state).
  • The employer/company can also be located in a place other than Hollola.

 

A maximum of 3 summer work vouchers will be distributed per employer.

Required number of hours and form of employment

When applying for a summer work voucher, work must be accumulated during the employment relationship. at least 50 hours.

We recommend that you sign an employment contract for at least two weeks (working hours of at least 25 hours per week). However, if the nature of the work suits you better, working hours can also be agreed with fewer weekly hours for a longer period of time (e.g. gig work). Support can be received for part-time, full-time, fixed-term and permanent employment.

Placement of work in the summer season

The summer work voucher is intended for work during the summer season: The working hours that qualify for the voucher must fall within the period from 1.6 June to31.8.2026.

Written employment contract

The employment contract must be made in writing - at the same time, the young person learns the tried and tested rules of the employment relationship.

As an employer, you are responsible for the young person:
  • The employer must pay attention to the working time and safety regulations concerning young employees.
  • The salary to be paid must be at least the minimum salary according to the industry's collective agreement.
  • The employer is responsible for all employer contributions and statutory insurance.

Instructions for the employer: 
  1. Make a written employment contract with the young person.
  2. Once you have agreed on a summer job with the young person, fill out the summer job voucher application together with the young person (electronic or paper).
  3. The young person collects the voucher in person and delivers the voucher and the accompanying instructions to the employer.
  4. After the work is completed, you can invoice the municipality for the amount of the voucher according to the instructions below. Invoicing must be made no later than 31 October 2026. Remember the attachments!
Instructions for young people applying for a summer work voucher:
  1. Find yourself a summer job and fill out the form summer work voucher application together with the employer.
  2. After filling out the application, pick up the summer work voucher in person at the Hollola municipality's business center in Piipahlus as soon as possible (main library, Nuottikuja 2, 15870 Hollola) during office opening hours.
    1. Remember to bring your ID (driver's license or passport) and (application form, if you filled it out on paper).
    2. Vouchers will be distributed in the order of application, so please act as quickly as possible after securing a summer job.
  3. Deliver the summer work voucher and the accompanying instructions to your employer.
  4. Make a written employment contract with your employer (It is always important to have an employment contract in writing and it is also needed for the banknote).
  5. After your summer job, remember to request a work certificate from your employer upon termination of your employment. (Preferably with written evaluations, they will be useful in your future job search!).

The summer work voucher invoice and attachments must be submitted no later than 31.10.2026However, we recommend sending the invoice immediately after the summer work period ends.

  • You can invoice a maximum of 50% of the payroll costs, but not more than the maximum amount of the voucher of €400. (or €600 for associations in Holland).
Please note that when invoicing a summer work voucher, the following items must be completed in order for your voucher invoice to be paid:
  • Attach copies of the employment contract and pay slips to the invoice.
  • Record as cost center in reference information
    “3412 summer work voucher” and the full name of the summer worker.
  • Post the invoice without VAT, VAT 0% (VAT-free grant).
  • 21 days payment period for the invoice.
