Hollola's summer work vouchers are intended as financial support for the summer employment of young people from Hollola.

A young person can receive a municipally supported summer job voucher for their summer job by applying for the voucher together with the summer employer. The employer will invoice the municipality for the subsidy after the summer job ends.

The application for summer work vouchers has ended for this year 2025.

A total of 2025 summer work vouchers were distributed for the summer of 75.
  • The value of one voucher is a maximum of €400/summer worker.
  • Unlike other employers, the association in Hollola can apply for a voucher worth a maximum of €600 per summer worker.
  • The voucher can cover a maximum of 50% of a summer worker's salary costs.
Young person | In the summer of 2025, a young person from Hollø is eligible for a summer work voucher if they are:
  • Have turned 31.5.2025 by 15 May 18, but not XNUMX or
  • A young person from Hollola who is finishing or will be in the 9th grade (in the academic year 25–26) of basic education in Hollola.
Employer | Who can use the voucher?
  • The employer can be a company or association (not a private household, welfare area, foundation, municipality or state).
  • The employer/company can also be located in a place other than Hollola.
  • A maximum of 3 summer work vouchers can be distributed per employer.
Terms of employment:
  • A total of at least 50 hours of work must have been done during the employment relationship (support can be obtained for part-time, full-time, fixed-term and permanent employment).
  • The hours of work entitling to the voucher fall within the period of employment from June 1.6 to August 31.8.2025, XNUMX.
  • A written employment contract must be drawn up for summer work and a written salary statement must be submitted.

 

  1. Find yourself a summer job and fill out the form summer work voucher application together with the employer.
  2. After filling out the application, pick up the summer work voucher in person at the Hollola municipality's business center in Piipahlus as soon as possible (main library, Nuottikuja 2, 15870 Hollola) during office opening hours.
  3. Bring your ID (driver's license or passport) and the application form (if you filled it out on paper). Vouchers are distributed in the order of application, so please act as soon as possible after you have found a summer job and submitted your voucher application.
  4. Deliver the summer work voucher and these instructions to your employer.
  5. Make a written employment contract with your employer (it is always important to make a written employment contract for the employment relationship, it is also needed for the bank note).
  6. After your summer job, remember to ask for a certificate of employment from your employer after the employment relationship ends. (Preferably with written evaluations, they will be useful in your future job search!)

 

Required number of hours

We recommend signing a work contract with the young person for at least two weeks, working time at least 25 hours per week. If it suits the nature of the work better, the working hours can also be agreed with smaller weekly hours for a longer period of time. (e.g. gig work). However, work must accumulate for at least 50 hours during the employment relationship.

Placement of work in the summer season

The summer work voucher is intended for work during the summer season: The working hours that qualify for the voucher must fall within the period from 1.6 June to31.8.2025.

Written employment contract

The employment contract is made in writing, because it is important for the young person to learn the well-proven rules of the game of the employment relationship, such as making contracts in writing.

The employer is responsible for the young person:
  • The salary to be paid must be at least the minimum salary according to the industry's collective agreement.
  • The employer is responsible for all employer contributions and statutory insurance.
  • The employer must pay attention to the working time and safety regulations concerning young employees.

The summer work voucher can be invoiced no later than 31.10.2025, but we recommend sending the invoice immediately after the summer work period ends.

You can invoice a maximum of 50% of the salary costs, but not more than the maximum amount of the voucher (€400 or €600 for associations based in Holland).

Please note that when invoicing a summer work voucher, the following points must be fulfilled in order for your voucher invoice to be paid:
  • Attached to the invoice are copies of the employment contract and salary statements
  • In the reference information, enter "summer work voucher" as the cost location and the summer worker's full name.
  • Register the invoice as VAT 0% (this is a VAT-free grant)
  • 21 days payment period for the invoice
