We want to support the first contact of young people from Gotholle with working life, summer employment and the development of working life skills.

Hollola employment services

Often, a young person's first contact with working life is a summer job.

We want to support local young people's first steps in working life and the accumulation of work experience through various opportunities:

• Every year, the municipality hires around 60 young people for month-long summer work periods.
• Summer work vouchers with this, we financially support the summer employment opportunities of companies and associations for young people.
• We cooperate and support the youth work and entrepreneurship activities of the Hollola 4H Association. 4H hires young people for various jobs in local associations, its own activities and 4H entrepreneurship for young people. In addition, 4H has started Easy operation, which allows the young person to offer various help jobs to the municipalities as gig jobs. Cooperation and activities are constantly being developed.
• We also cooperate with schools and local associations to increase young people's understanding of job hunting and the rules of the game in working life. Employment services have come to speak at the municipality's 9th graders' influence day about job search, the importance of references and employment certificates.

  A young person can get a municipality-supported summer work voucher for their summer job by applying for the voucher together with the summer employer. the application for summer work vouchers is open!

  Summer jobs in Hollola municipality 2024

  For the summer of 2024, the municipality will hire a total of 60 young people for summer work periods in various fields. The summer job application closed at the beginning of March.

Cooperation with Hollola's 4H Association

We cooperate of the local Hollola 4H association with in order to promote youth employment. With summer work vouchers supported by the municipality, Hollola's 4H-Yhdistys employs young people in various tasks, both in employment and as 4H entrepreneurs.

Easy – Gig work for young people in cooperation with the 4H Association

Hollola has been started in cooperation with 4H Easy - digital job placement -service. Young people aged 15-28 who have signed up for the service can do gig work ordered by the municipality. Now young people can already be found to help with house cleaning, snow removal, child care, pet care, and soon also with the activities of the senior department.

The young person does the work in an employment relationship through the Hollola 4H association and the association pays the young person a salary according to the hours worked. A municipal citizen can order help for himself either through the Helppi application or by calling the association. 4H-Yhdistys invoices the customer according to the hours worked.

The service started in autumn 2023 in cooperation with the municipality's employment services. The goal is to offer job opportunities to local young people and help with everyday chores for the local residents.
