Hollola Municipality declares election peace
Last updated: 18.03.2025The Election Peace Guidelines guide municipal staff, general election candidates, and parties and groups nominating candidates on election-related practices in the municipality of Hollola.
Employees of the municipality of Hollola do not participate in their work role in the election events of candidates for general national elections or individual parties as referred to in the Election Act. Employees of the municipality who are candidates in the elections represent themselves at the events as candidates or as volunteers, and not their organization or official position.
If necessary, the top management of the office-holder may, at their discretion, represent the municipality at events organized in cooperation with several parties or organized by the media.
Employees may not wear candidates' pins, scarves, vests or other accessories/insignia related to the candidacy on their work clothes during working hours.
The municipality of Hollola does not financially support candidates or parties.
The municipality does not provide or rent municipal facilities for the use of candidates or for election events of organizations nominating candidates.
Political notices or advertisements may not be distributed, placed for distribution, or posted on walls or notice boards on municipal premises. Political notices may not be distributed, nor may any form of advertising or marketing be carried out in the yard area in the immediate vicinity of the entrances to the properties for employees or customers.
The municipality's media outlets do not convey messages from candidates or parties. The municipality provides information on general matters related to the organization of elections in accordance with the instructions of the Central Election Board and the Ministry of Justice.
Political material related to elections may not be distributed from municipal email addresses.
No posts, images, invitations or other material or links to candidates' or parties' election websites will be shared on the municipality's social media channels.
The election peace lasts from the nomination of candidates until the date of confirmation of the election.
