Municipal initiative
Last updated: 24.07.2024According to the Municipal Act, the people of Gotholle have the right to take initiatives in matters concerning the operation of the municipality.
With the municipal initiative, you can influence things that are important to you and your community in the municipality. With the initiative, you can bring up a current issue or a problem you have noticed and bring it into the municipality's decision-making scope.
Residents of the municipality, associations and foundations operating in the municipality, as well as those who own or control immovable property in the municipality, have the right to take initiatives in matters concerning the operation of the municipality.
The initiative is handled by the entity whose affairs or activities the initiative is related to. The initiative may be free-form both in terms of content and form, but it must show what is presented with the initiative. The initiative must be signed. The first signatory will be provided with information on the processing of the initiative and will be asked for additional information if necessary. To enable communication, contact information must be included in the initiative.
In the Kuntalaisaloite.fi service, you can make municipal initiatives electronically, gather participants for your initiative, follow initiatives made by others, and participate in initiatives made in your own municipality.
