Pippahlus serves!

Piipahlus is the Hollola municipality's customer service point, where we give general advice regarding the municipality's operations. In Piipahlu, you can also download a Waltti card or pick up Kela forms. Access to the transaction point located in the main library is barrier-free.

At the contact point, you can handle matters related to the services of the municipality and other operators. The contact point is also a data bank of various services and events, and at the service point you can apply and return forms related to different services there.
The service advisers at the service point also handle Kela's customer service tasks (general advice, distribution of brochures, distribution of forms and reception). We handle space reservations centrally at the transaction point. At the service point, you can buy and load Lahti Seudun Liikenteen's Waltti card.

Hollola buckle

Solje's model comes from a treasure find that farmer Valde Nilanko made in the spring of 1962 while plowing new land from the edge of the forest in Hollola's Uskila on the Mömmölä farm. The discovery site is located approximately 1200 meters from the Hollola church. Buckles, silver and money were recovered from the treasure. The buckles were all scroll-headed and raised-crested, and their decoration is limited to the pin shield and scrolls. Based on the money, the cache is dated to the 1050s.

The diameter of the buckle is about 5,5 cm and the material is silver (830/1000 parts)

Hollola's bracelet

Hollola's bracelet model was found in connection with the 1978 archaeological excavations in Hollola's Untilla Kirk'ailanmäki cemetery. In two women's graves, e.g. bracelets that were made of thin copper plate and silver plated. Such bracelets were worn in pairs on both wrists.

The ring is decorated with a light angular line motif and triangle stamps. The jewelry was probably made in Hollola and, based on grave finds, it dates back to the crusader period in the 1100th century.

Hollola's Kotiseutuyhdistys ry has made copper, silver-plated copies of the bracelets.

The bracelet is about 3 cm wide at its thickest point and its material is silver-plated copper.

Salpakangas yesterday, today and tomorrow

"The planning of the Hollola municipal center began 50 years ago. The center named Salpakakkai was built in a favorable location for road traffic. In the middle of forests and fields, a lively municipal center was formed, with fine examples of modern architectural heritage.

In the spring of 2022, the Lahti museums and the municipality of Hollola organized discussion events where the building heritage of Salpakakka, the phenomena that influenced its shape, and the meaning of the center for the residents of the area were discussed. The book is a collection of articles based on the presentations."
