Alternatives for municipal early childhood education

There are several options for organizing a child's early childhood education. You can take care of your child at home with home care support, or you can choose private early childhood education for your child and receive support from Kela's private care. You can also apply for a service voucher for a private daycare center.

  Private early childhood education

  Private early childhood education is an early childhood education service supervised by the municipality where the private service provider is located.

  Service voucher

  A family can apply for an early childhood education service voucher to organize their child's early childhood education in a private service voucher daycare center approved by the municipality.

• 

  Support for private care and municipal supplement

  Private care support is paid for a child who is in a private early childhood education chosen by the parents.

• 

  Support for home care

  Children's home care allowance is paid for a child under the age of 3 who is not in early childhood education.
