Social affairs officer
Last updated: 11.01.2024Section 540 of the Early Childhood Education Act (2018/53) specifies that parents and guardians have the right to receive the services of a social affairs officer. The role of the social affairs officer is to advise on matters related to the application of the Early Childhood Education Act, assist in making reminders, inform about the rights of parents and guardians, and act to promote and realize their rights. The social affairs officer has an impartial and advisory role. The social affairs officer does not make decisions or grant benefits. Nor can he change the decisions made by the authority. The services of the social affairs officer are free of charge for parents and guardians.
