Customer - reminder of early childhood education activities in the area of Hollola municipality

The child has the right to safe and high-quality early childhood education. If the child's guardian is dissatisfied with the quality of early childhood education or the treatment related to it, it is best to contact the early childhood education staff or immediate supervisor in order to clarify the matter. If things cannot be resolved through discussion, guardians have the right to make a reminder in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act to the immediate supervisor or the head of early childhood education. If the reminder concerns private early childhood education, the reminder should primarily be made to the person in charge of the location that is the subject of the reminder. The reminder is made in writing.

Making a reminder:

  • The child's guardian draws up a reminder on a form. The reminder can also be given freely in writing. The reminder should be sent to the Hollola municipality registry office: Hollola municipality/Kirjaamo, PO Box 66, 15871 Hollola or kirjaamo@hollola.fi. If sensitive issues appear in the reminder, for example related to the child's health or need for support, the use of e-mail is not recommended.
  • In the reminder, the issue or issues with which you are dissatisfied are described in as much detail as possible. There is no set deadline for making a reminder, but it is good to do it as soon as possible to facilitate the handling of matters.
  • The reminder will be processed no later than one month after the reminder, unless it is an established vacation period, in which case the response time may be longer. If it takes longer to resolve the matter, the person making the reminder will be notified of the estimated processing time. A reasoned response is given to the reminder, which explains how the matter has been resolved and what further actions the reminder may have led to.
  • If the guardian is not satisfied with the answer he received, he can contact the sender of the answer. You cannot change the answer by appealing.
  • However, making a reminder does not affect the right to file a complaint with the regional administrative agency.

Personnel - notification obligation in early childhood education

The notification obligation of the personnel affects both municipal and private early childhood education. An early childhood education employee has the obligation to report any problem with the child's early childhood education or a possible threat of problem to the unit's immediate supervisor. The immediate supervisor immediately initiates the necessary actions to eliminate the problem or the threat of an obvious problem and also informs the head of early childhood education about it. The purpose is to secure the implementation of the child's early childhood education as required by the Early Childhood Education Act.
