Family daycare

Last updated: 22.07.2024

Family daycare is early childhood education activities organized in the home of a family daycare worker. A family daycare worker employed by the municipality takes care of a maximum of four children under school age, including their own children under school age. Family daycare is a planned, goal-oriented and pedagogical activity that is governed by the same laws and documents as other early childhood education. Early childhood education is versatile and in family day care, we play, exercise, explore, sing, go outside and go on trips, taking into account the age and interests of the group of children.

The immediate supervisor of early childhood education is responsible for directing the activities of family day care, developing content and acts as the supervisor of family day care workers.
