Applications for the physical education class are made using an electronic form via Wilma at the beginning of the year. You will be notified of the start of the application via Wilma.

Students whose education is planned to be organized or can be organized in conjunction with the general education class can apply for the 4th grade in the spring. Students (24) for the class will be selected based on entrance exams. The entrance exam will be held after the application period ends. Students in the 4th grade will be informed about the exam in Wilma. The municipality may also organize one separate joint entrance exam for students applying for the class who were ill on the day of the entrance exam. Participation in this exam requires the student to present a medical certificate stating that they are unable to participate in the actual entrance exam.

The entrance exam measures the student's aptitudes in accordance with the basics of the subject of physical education. In addition to the student's physical education and sports skills, the entrance exam also takes into account the student's physical education work skills according to the curriculum.

If there are vacant student places for weighted physical education in different year classes, the places can be filled through supplementary applications. Possible supplemental applications for grades 6–9 are made on the same basis as when selecting for the 5th grade.

Sports skills (30 points)

Body control 8 points.

Endurance 8 points.

Tool handling skills 8 points.

Skating 6 points.

The swimming test cannot be taken in spring 2025 due to swimming hall renovations.

Working skills (12 points and the applicant must get more than 4 points in the section in order to be selected):

Group task (9 days): safe and efficient operation, listening and following instructions, responsibility for own actions in different situations.

Proportion of working skills assessed in the sport tests (3p)

Total: 42 points.

Based on the selection test, students are selected in order of merit according to the tests. However, the prerequisite for being selected is that the applicant has received more than 4 points in working skills. For students with equal scores, the selection order is determined by the scores of the endurance section. If in this case there are equal points, the next thing to decide is the scoring of the body control section, followed by a lottery.
