Youth work
The municipality's youth work includes, among other things, educational guidance for young people, youth work in schools, investigative youth work, special youth work, space activities in community cafes, activities and hobby opportunities during the holidays, and information and counseling services. Youth work is mainly produced as the municipality's own activity, but we also cooperate with associations, organizations and other operators.
School youth work
Youth work is strongly involved in various planned processes at schools. The main goals of the work done in schools are increasing inclusion and community spirit, social strengthening and prevention of exclusion. School youth work also includes cooperation with parents.
Outreach youth work
No matter how big or small the matter is, you can come to the detective youth work. The searching youth worker advises, guides, gives tips and information about youth services, Kela's form jungle, helps in dealing with the employment office and in entering the labor market or looking for a place to study.
Influencing young people
The participation and influence of young people and the hearing of young people's voice is an important part of decision-making. In Hollola, young people have their own influential group - the Youth Council, through which young people have the opportunity to influence decision-making and planning of activities.
Hit
The workshop without walls is learning by doing, where the coach supports the trainee during the session. The coach accompanies the young person throughout the entire period, supporting him in finding employment on the open labor market, increasing his study skills and learning working life skills.
Many hobbies in Hollola
Hobby activities of the Finnish model of hobby are organized at all ten schools in Hollola. In the hobby calendars, you can find a wide variety of hobbies: versatile art and exercise, as well as the latest dance, theater and band activities. Salpakkanka and Heinsuo central schools also have a hobby counselor who helps in finding a meaningful hobby.
International operation
Are you interested in internationality? Culture and youth services actively implement the international activities of young people in the form of Erasmus+ youth exchanges and participation projects. The projects involve cooperation with various young voluntary groups. We will inform about international exchanges when they open on the municipality's social media.
