Registration for preschool education

Registration for pre-school education takes place in the spring before the pre-school year. In addition to preschool education, the family can apply for early childhood education that supplements preschool education for the child. The validity of the service voucher expires at the end of July of the year when the child reaches preschool age, and service vouchers are not issued to preschoolers. The municipal supplement for private care support is not paid for a child participating in pre-school education as referred to in the Basic Education Act.

From registration to start

Registration for preschool is done 1.1.-31.1.2026 period using an electronic form. You can contact service management to fill out a paper form. Service guidance must be notified of changes in the application information.

If the application has given permission for electronic notification, the decision on the place will be sent electronically. Notification of the decision will be sent by e-mail. The decision can be viewed and printed on the Our family page of the early childhood education WEB service. The service requires electronic identification. If electronic notification has not been approved, the decision will be sent by mail. You must accept the place or refuse the offered place within two weeks of the decision. The preschool is in contact with the family and is told about the practices related to the start and an agreement is made to get to know the guardian.
