Promoting well-being and health

Promoting well-being and health is one of the most central tasks of the municipality, and the work is carried out in all service areas of the municipality. The work consists of various tasks, the aim of which is, among other things, to increase the health, well-being and functional capacity of the municipal residents, prevent diseases and strengthen participation.

Social and Health Services

The Päijät-Häme welfare area organizes social, healthcare and rescue services for all residents of the area. The Päijät-Häme welfare area includes Asikkala, Hartola, Heinola, Hollola, Iitti, Kärkölä, Lahti, Orimattila, Padasjoki and Sysmä. At Hollola's wide-service social and health center, you can get comprehensive health and social services under one roof. The Päijät-Sote application is also available for customers of the Hollola social security center. Through it, you can get treatment quickly without making an appointment.

Seniors and special groups

In Hollola, seniors are supported and guided by a senior instructor. From the senior instructor, you get personal, general-level help and guidance on digital matters, filling out various applications, and information about various communities and leisure events. The senior instructor works in Hollola's leisure services and cooperates with Päijät-Sote, the Council for the Elderly and Disabled and many local associations.

Family center

We offer a child-friendly service in Hollola. We participate and learn together in new environments for the future. We make it possible for municipal residents to have their own, happy and communal everyday well-being.

Immigrants

The Integration Act (KotoL) strongly guides the municipality's integration work. In Hollola, integration is promoted through collaboration between the municipality, Päijät-Sote (a regional social and healthcare service provider), and other stakeholders. The goal is to develop local-level work that promotes integration in cooperation with various sectors of the municipality and the third sector network. The aim of integration work is to increase the participation and inclusion in Hollola.
