Permits and notification matters

In addition, the environmental protection authority handles, among other things, noise reports, permits in accordance with the Off-Road Traffic Act and notifications in accordance with the nitrates regulation.

Environmental permit, notification procedure and registration
The environmental permit, general notification or registration procedure applies to activities that cause the risk of environmental pollution.

Soil permit
Taking stone, gravel, sand, clay and soil for other than your own domestic use requires a permit according to the Land Materials Act.

Noise notification
A noise report must be made for a temporary activity or event that causes particularly disturbing noise or vibration.

Exemptions from the Water Supply Act
The municipal environmental protection authority can, on certain grounds, grant a property an exemption from connecting to the water and/or sewer network.

Among other things, a notification must be made in accordance with the nitrates regulation regarding manure storage and manure spreading in exceptional circumstances.

The Licensing and Supervision Agency must be notified of mechanical dredging, dumping of dredged materials, filling in the shoreline and mowing of aquatic plants.

The Road Traffic Act and the Water Traffic Act require, in certain cases, to apply for a permit for competitions or exercises.
