Public event waste management 

The organizer of the public event is responsible for the waste management of the organized event. The organizer is also responsible for advice related to waste management during the event and sorting and separate collection of waste in accordance with waste management regulations. The public event must be planned in such a way that the amount of waste generated is as minimal as possible. Sufficient and comprehensive waste containers with lids must be placed in the event area for the collection of different types of waste.

Waste management plan

For public events with more than 500 participants, a waste management plan must be made for environmental control. The organizer of the event must submit a waste management plan at least two weeks before the event to the environmental control of the municipality of Hollola for approval.

The plan may be in any format and can be submitted by email to the registry office at kirjaamo@hollola.fi or by post to the Hollola Environmental Protection Authority, PO Box 66, 15871 Hollola.
