Vesijärvi Foundation

The Vesijärvi Foundation of Päijät-Häme works for the benefit of Vesijärvi and the other lakes of Lahti, Hollola and Asikkala. The foundation promotes water maintenance, monitoring, research and information about them in accordance with the Vesijärvi program. The municipality of Hollola was one of the founders of the foundation in 2007.

Vesijärvi has emerged as the most important recreational destination for the people of Gotholle in many surveys, along with other bodies of water. It hasn't always been this way and the lake still needs work to get to a good condition.
