Management of forests owned by the municipality of Hollola

The municipality of Hollola owns approximately 2100 hectares of various forested areas. The forests are managed in accordance with the municipality's forest program and implementing the forest plan. Urban forests are thinned and managed in order of urgency.

Removal of individual trees in urban areas

Dangerous, in poor condition and trees that cause more than minor damage are removed from municipal land throughout the year. Trees that cause minor damage (needles, falling leaves, various effects of shading) can be removed in connection with larger forest management projects in the area.

Please send an email to a forest expert about dangerous and poor condition trees in municipal forests, preferably with an attached photo.

For allotment trees in a planned area, contact a horticulturist.
