Building control has an electronic transaction service for applying for construction-related permits and for transactions during construction.

Electronic services , opens in a new tab

With the transaction service, you can handle construction-related transactions regardless of time and place. Through it, all parties to the permit matter also have access to the project's materials and situational information.

In addition to building permits, the service can handle other permit and notification procedures, such as, for example, operational, landscape work, demolition and deviation permits, planning needs solutions, and notification procedures. With the service, it is also possible to submit preliminary inquiries to building control.

Your own username and password are created for the service with strong authentication (e.g. bank credentials). After this, you can use the service with your own username and password. Creating a user account requires a valid email address.

The service guides the permit applicant in filling out the application and retrieves the necessary property, address, owner and plan information as well as information on existing buildings directly from the database. Information on neighboring properties for informing neighbors can also be obtained directly from the database.

Plans or other attachments are added to the service as pdf files. Materials for permit applications submitted through the electronic transaction service do not need to be submitted in paper form to building control.

Instructions for permit procedures and application materials can be found on the Instructions for Construction Permits page. Advice and additional information on questions related to the use of the transaction service can be obtained from building inspectors.
