Landscape work permits and felling of trees

Last updated: 14.09.2023

The owner or holder of the land must apply for a landscape work permit for earthworks that change the landscape, felling trees and similar activities in the site plan area. In the master plan area, a landscape work permit must be applied for, if so stipulated in the master plan.

The application is decided by the authority appointed by the municipality. A permit is not required for work with minor effects.

Apply for a landscape work permit from Hollola municipality's building control electronic transaction service.

Tree felling on your own property located in the site plan area requires a permit from the municipality.

A hortonomist gives consent/permission to fell a maximum of 10 trees in the site plan area. To cut down more than 10 trees, consent/permission is given by the building inspector. If it is an unclear project, a neighbor's interference, etc., the matter will be handled by the building inspector.
