Addresses and nomenclature

Last updated: 12.12.2023

The municipality is responsible for maintaining the guide map and providing address numbers for both built-up and sparsely populated areas.

The road names for the built-up area are given in the site plan, and the running address number system related to the plot division is used for address numbering.

Road names for the sparsely populated area are confirmed by a decision of the office holder. The address number is determined by how far the property exit is from the starting point of the road.

As a rule, the address number is given in such a way that, looking at the beginning of the street, even numbers are on the right and odd numbers are on the left.

Addresses and nomenclature remain up-to-date in the municipality's address system and nomenclature register.

A printed guide map is sold at Asiointipiste Piipahlus in Hollola library.
