Assisting with the maintenance of private roads

The maintenance grant is only granted to a year-round, permanent settlement section of a road or a road section that is important as a passageway for a permanent settlement. The minimum length of the eligible road must be 400 meters.

Service traffic resulting from the operation of the municipality must be allowed without a separate charge when the service traffic is directed to the property of the road partner applying for assistance.

Applying for a grant

The application for 2026 private road maintenance grants begins on February 16.2.
Maintenance assistance must be applied for by the end of March.

Determination of grant

The maintenance grant is determined on the basis of the road's maintenance costs of the previous year and calculated according to the valid number of points and within the available budget.
