Manages the maintenance of Hollola's streets and light traffic lanes Terranor Oy.

Street maintenance includes repairing or resurfacing a broken street surface, keeping a gravel street level, and binding dust on a gravel roadway. The municipality also takes care of the maintenance of street furniture, podiums, guardrails, traffic signs and similar equipment. Street maintenance includes removing snow and ice and combating slippery conditions.

The municipality can decide that a certain area is only partially maintained in winter, if it does not cause a significant inconvenience to traffic.

The owner of the lot has an obligation to take care of the cleanliness of the street area bordering the lot.

Plowing of streets and light traffic lanes

Streets are divided into maintenance categories according to their functional category

-main streets IA and I
- collector streets II
- plot streets III
- light traffic lanes A and B

This affects both the starting limits of the plowing works and the maximum allowed snow amounts, as well as the operating times within which the contractor must complete the work. As a general rule, light traffic lanes and main streets are plowed first, then collector streets and plot streets are plowed last.
