Excavation permit

Carrying out excavation work in the municipality's public areas requires an excavation permit.

When digging in the areas owned by the municipality of Hollola, you must follow the special conditions of the digging permits supplied as an attachment to the digging permit.

If necessary, an initial inspection must be held in the work area, where the schedule of work performance, the organization of traffic during the work site, and the current state of the work area are noted before starting the work.

After the work is completed, the municipality's construction supervisor must be notified, who together with the applicant will perform a final inspection on site, that the work has been completed in accordance with the permit conditions and in compliance with the quality level required for the work.

An investment permit is not required if it is about placing cables in existing protective pipes or at property junctions, when there is no need to undercut the street.

There is also no need to apply for an investment permit for repair work on cables.

Placing cables, structures and equipment in public areas requires a permit. The investment permit is subject to a fee.

- presentation of work-time traffic arrangements in connection with the excavation permit application

For cables, the installation depth must be at least 0,7 meters. In principle, street underlaying should be done without digging up the streets (by tamping or drilling), if it is technically possible. The constructed cables must be mapped before covering the trench and the location information must be delivered to Hollola municipality in DWG or DXF format, in the ETRS-GK26 coordinate system.

Unless otherwise agreed, the licensee is obliged later, if the municipality demands it, to move the management at his own expense to another location designated by the municipality.
