Moving the vehicle
Last updated: 02.09.2024The municipality of Hollola is responsible for moving vehicles from public areas in accordance with the law on moving vehicles (1508/2019).
Moving the vehicle can be based on e.g. incorrect parking, work on the road area or abandonment of the vehicle.
Depending on the case, the transfer can be a local transfer or a warehouse transfer. A short-distance transfer mainly comes into question due to incorrect parking or work to be done in the road area. In a local transfer, the vehicle is moved to the vicinity of the location and in a storage transfer to Autopurkamo in Lahti.
For an abandoned vehicle or a scrap vehicle on a private road or area, the municipality will only carry out a storage transfer at the justified request of the road manager of the private road or the owner of the area. The person requesting the transfer is obliged to compensate the transfer costs of the vehicle transferred at their request, unless they can be collected from the owner of the vehicle.
The transfer request must be made in writing using the form found on the left side of the page.
