The minutes of the meeting can be read on the municipality's website from here.
The meeting decided, among other things, the following:
- The council decided that the Kangas school will be implemented as a new project as a modular school, so that it corresponds to the burned school and is 300 brm2 in size. The school will be built on the same plot where the old school was located. The goal is to have the school fully furnished by 2 July 31.7.2026. The modular school will be a building that meets modern requirements.
- The council responded to a municipal initiative regarding the desired gallery space in the Hollola building. The exhibition space has been on the agenda during the preparation of the Hollola building, and the reference plans related to the project plan have reserved space in the basement of the building for the municipality's art collections. At this stage, expanding the first floor with a separate gallery or exhibition space is not possible in terms of the building's massing, space use, or the project's cost framework. In the more detailed design of the building's interior, the aim is to take into account the possibilities for hanging artworks in public spaces, such as the lobby, corridors, and meeting rooms.
- The council approved the Hollola House project plan, which will allow the Hollola House project to progress. The project includes, among other things, the Hollola Hall, a multi-purpose event and meeting space, smaller meeting rooms, municipal offices, office space with auxiliary facilities, the municipal terminal archive, and restaurant and kitchen facilities with auxiliary facilities for a private restaurant operator. According to the project's preliminary schedule, the construction contract would be put out to tender between 12/2025 and 3/2026. The construction contract could be completed between 4/2026 and 12/2027.
- The council decided to keep the tax rates unchanged. The income tax rate for the municipality of Hollola for 2026 is 8,3%.
- The property tax percentages for 2026 were set as follows:
– general property tax rate for buildings 1,15%
– general property tax rate for land 1,30%
– tax rate for buildings used as permanent residence 0,55%
– tax rate for other residential buildings 1,10%
– tax rate for non-profit organizations 0,00%
– property tax rate for an undeveloped building site is 3,00%.
There is no change in property tax rates compared to the 2025 rates. - The council approved the 2026 budget and the 2027-2029 financial plan and budget of the municipality of Hollola. The council requires that funding for budget changes be sought primarily from within the service areas or the municipal budget through internal transfers.
- The council approved the 2026 zoning program.
- The Vähäselänoja area town plan and the amendment to the town plan were approved.
