All sorting stations open on Thursdays and the Kujala processing center will be closed the day before Midsummer Eve, Thursday 18.6 June, at 16 pm. On Midsummer Eve and Midsummer Day, all Salpakierto sorting stations, the Kujala processing center and customer service will be closed. Waste transport customers may experience exceptions to the usual emptying days for waste containers due to Midsummer.
You can manage your own waste management service information in the electronic service channel Asiakasnet at asiakasnetti.salpakierto.fi even during Midsummer.
Sorting is also important during Midsummer
Use an easy quick guide to help you sort:
- The best waste is unborn waste.
- buy food only according to actual needs and prefer durable containers
- sort all packaging materials according to their main material, either plastic, cardboard, glass or metal packaging
- Tissues, such as kitchen towels and napkins, are sorted into biowaste
- Papers that came through the mailbox, e.g. advertisements for paper collection
Salpakierto's waste search at salpakierto.fi will help you with Midsummer sorting problems.
We wish everyone a low-waste midsummer celebration!
