Lahti Aqua Oy has submitted an initial release regarding the leak to the Licensing and Supervision Authority on 29.7 July and a disturbance report in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act on 5.8 August.
The municipality of Hollola has purchased water supply services from Lahti Aqua Oy since 2008. Lahti Aqua Oy is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water supply networks and facilities owned by the municipality of Hollola, as well as for information. Lahti Aqua Oy has immediately initiated measures to reduce and prevent environmental damage after detecting the leak. Cooperation is carried out with the local Hollola and Lahti Environmental and Health Protection authorities and the Licensing and Supervision Authority.
