The respondents were students, guardians, staff and residents of the municipality without direct customer service in the services of the education and welfare service area. The largest group of respondents were guardians (498 respondents). The age distribution was dominated by those aged 30–40 (404 respondents) and 45–64 (233 respondents).

Small differences between respondent groups

The survey surveyed views on early childhood education, basic education and leisure services. There were some differences between the respondent groups, but the results are generally similar for all groups. Students rate many things as slightly less important than other groups. Guardians and staff consider most things to be very important.

The quality of early childhood education and basic education was highlighted

Based on the results, the residents of the municipality consider high-quality and healthy learning environments, reasonable teaching group sizes and good accessibility of services to be particularly important. Leisure services are also seen as supporting the well-being and community of the residents of the municipality. The respondents particularly emphasized the quality of early childhood education and basic education. The statements considered most important (average value):

  • Healthy and diverse learning environment (5,8)
  • Maximum teaching group size 24 students (5,7)
  • Suitability of early childhood education playgrounds for children of different ages (5,6)
  • Location of early childhood education facility close to home (5,5)
  • The school's break areas offer the opportunity for a variety of break activities (5,5)

In addition, respondents considered it important that early childhood education, preschool and basic education form a unified school path for the child. Based on the survey, leisure services are seen as an important part of the well-being of the municipality's residents. Leisure services in particular were felt to increase community spirit and well-being.

The results will be discussed in the preparation of the service plan during spring 2026 and communicated through municipal channels.
