After the vote (by 6-5 votes), it was determined that neither closing down Herrala School nor converting Heinsuo School into a comprehensive school would receive the support of a majority of the government.
The service plan outlines the overall framework for early childhood education and basic education for the council term 2025–2029.
According to the draft, the economic impact of the whole is estimated to be an annual reduction in operating expenses of approximately 1,3–1,4 million euros, consisting in particular of changes to the service network, more efficient use of facilities and adaptation of human resources.
