The nets, five in total, will be lowered on Friday evening and raised on Saturday morning. The same nets will be lowered again in the evening and raised on Sunday morning.
Some of the perch obtained will be sent for research at the University of Jyväskylä. The results will allow us to assess how the management fisheries of recent years have affected the structure of the fish population.
The experimental fishing is carried out by the Finnish Waterways Service Cooperative.
