The municipality applied for and received 2025 euros for the project, which will start at the beginning of 20 and last a year and a half. The municipality's self-financing share is another 000 euros.
The project applies to employees of Hollola municipality, up to 29 years old. The target group includes approximately 80 people, approximately half of whom are temporary employees.
The goal of the project is to support young employees' attachment to working life and help them develop work management, self-knowledge and resilience.
Most of the young workers participating in the project work in the education and welfare service area, but the project applies to all young workers in the municipality.
Joint meetings 15 times
The project is implemented through live meetings organized during working hours, where a psychologist familiar with the world of young adults acts as the initiator.
Topics discussed at the meetings include healthy balance, the effect of time phenomena on the ability to work, recovery, self-compassion and self-control, the importance of lifestyle for coping at work, and brain ergonomicsa.
In live meetings, of which there are 15, young employees also receive peer support from each other.
The project also includes a mentoring section, where three to five employees interested in mentoring are trained, who can continue to act as mentors for young employees.
