Here is a collection of current spring issues about early childhood education and preschool education.
Information
We provide information on early childhood education and preschool education through Wilma. Guardians can create their own Wilma account using Suomi.fi authentication. If you experience problems using Wilma, please contact the office secretary of your early childhood education unit or school. Contact information can be found on the Hollola website.
Preschool education
Academic year 2025–2026 (born in 2019)
Some of the preschool education decisions have had an incorrect end date. The correct end date for preschool education is Friday 29.5.2026.
Academic year 2026–2027 (born in 2020)
Preschool registration has closed. Decisions on preschool places will be sent no later than 31.3.2026. You will be notified of the decision by email from noreply@tieto.comPlease also check your spam folder.
Preschool placements and early childhood education that complements preschool education must be approved electronically within two weeks of the decision being received in the web services: https://hollola.fi/kasvatus-ja-opetus/varhaiskasvatus/asiointi-ja-lomakkeet/varhaiskasvatuksen-web-palvelut/
The decision is also reflected in the guardians' Edlevo, but the place cannot be accepted there.
During the spring, we will inform you about preschool introduction days and transportation issues at Wilma.
Revised change form
The early childhood education and preschool education change form has been revised. The form can be used to report, for example:
- changes in service needs
- changes in family size
- parental benefit period

Customer fees
The early childhood education client fee is a fixed monthly fee per child, determined by the family's income. If income information is not provided, the highest fee will be charged.
The input data is checked:
- at the start of treatment (to be submitted by the end of the month of initiation, but no later than the 5th of the following month)
- annually in August at the start of the new operating period (we will inform you about the August revisions in more detail in May)
The customer fee is also checked when:
- family income changes
- family size changes
- the child's early childhood education time changes
- the payment turns out to be incorrect
Guardians are obliged to notify of changes. Income information can be submitted via web services or by email to varhaiskasvatus@hollola.fi
Service needs and vacation times
Guardians report their child's care times and days off in Edlevo. The booked care times affect staff planning.
We monitor booked and actual treatment times on a monthly basis. If hours are exceeded, we contact the family and assess the need for future treatment.
Absences during holidays must be reported by the specified deadline. The family may receive a refund of the customer fee if the child is absent for the entire period of time. If the absence is not reported, we will make arrangements for the child's presence, for example in terms of staff and meals.
