Music-focused instruction will be organized at Salpakanka school, and the transfers will not apply to students selected for music-focused instruction based on an entrance exam, as music-focused instruction is not organized at Heinsuo school.

§ 16 Fees for morning and afternoon activities for students entitled to the service based on the Disability Services Act

According to the Basic Education Act, pupils who have been granted a decision regarding special support are entitled to apply for morning and afternoon activities throughout their basic education. When the child's need for individual care and attention has required it, the activities have previously been supplemented with individual support measures in accordance with the Disability Services Act, such as morning and afternoon activities, for which families have received a payment commitment from the Joint Municipal Welfare Authority to participate in the activities.

The responsibility for organizing social and health care tasks, including the tasks included in the Disability Services Act and the Act on Special Care for the Intellectually Disabled, was transferred from municipalities to the responsibility for organizing welfare areas as of 1.1.2023 January 2023. For students who have been entitled to support measures under the Disability Services Act and the Social Welfare Act, the situation regarding the responsibility for organizing morning and afternoon activities has been unclear nationwide since the beginning of XNUMX, when the current welfare areas were formed.

Since the beginning of 2023, the welfare area has not paid the municipality for individual support measures for students entitled to morning and afternoon activities under the Disability Services Act, but the service has been provided at the municipality's expense. Based on equality, the Education and Welfare Committee decided that a fee will be charged from 1.8.2025 August XNUMX from all families using morning and afternoon activity services, unless they have received a payment commitment from the welfare area under the Disability Services Act.

You can find more information about the fee exemption principles and how to apply for a fee exemption on the municipality's website at: https://hollola.fi/kasvatus-ja-opetus/perusopetus/aamu-ja-iltapaivatoiminta/maksun-maaraytyminen/
