The results of the survey showed that students and guardians value friendly and competent staff, and students find learning enjoyable. Cooperation between home and preschool and between home and school is smooth and open communication is valued.
The guardians wished for more resources to support learning and special education. Both students and staff wanted more peace for working and improvements to learning environments: They wanted more closed spaces, sound insulation of walls and versatile learning environments.
Based on the answers to the previous survey, carried out in 2022, the areas for improvement were the equality and equality of students and the related compliance with the common rules of the game. The issue was promoted regionally by working on a common guide for all municipalities and the related steps to bring the plan into everyday life. Based on the answers to the survey carried out now, there has been no progress in the matter yet. The opportunities for participation and influence of all respondent groups still need to be developed. The opportunities to influence matters concerning oneself and the planning of activities have a positive effect on both preschool education and attachment to school and enjoyment there.
As in the previous survey, guardians wanted more information about the student's learning and progress in studies, as well as the basis for assessing learning. However, in preschool, guardians felt that they received more information about their child's day than before. This is important to increase interaction and continuous discussion about learning. In preschool, multi-professional cooperation also works well. Many of the staff's feedbacks praise their colleagues, cooperation, team spirit and superiors. The culture of planning and doing things together with other staff has developed in a positive direction.
Measured with a traditional school grade, different groups of respondents regionally gave the school operation a grade of 8 ½ and pre-school education a grade of 9.
Hollola's results
In Hollola, 2668 people responded to the evaluation survey, of which 563 were teaching staff, 223 guardians and 1882 students. The number of respondents among students was approximately 14% higher than in the survey conducted in 2022. The survey is conducted every two years.
Hollola's results are consistent with regional results in both preschool and basic education. Preschool students think that the best thing about preschool was play and friends, but there could be even more play time. The results of 1st-2nd graders showed that adults are friendly and helpful and that important things are learned at school. 3rd-9th grade students evaluated the schools' operations positively. In general, they felt that there were friends, the atmosphere was safe and support was available when needed. In preschool, guardians felt that they could have a better influence on the planning of activities and received more information about the results of the surveys than in basic education. Children feel that they have competent teachers and that children feel that they are learning the right things. The opportunities for using digital tools are felt to be good. Some guardians and students would like better working conditions, but on average, people in Hollola are satisfied with working conditions.

The total number of respondents was 3% higher than in the 825 survey. Evaluation information is used in the development work of the municipalities' pre-primary and basic education and when applying for joint regional grant funding for development. The subject of the evaluation was, among other things, the management of preschool and basic education, teaching and teaching arrangements, participation and influence, learning environment and safety, cooperation and supporting learning.
